RECOGNITION
Dom West is an Australian based documentary filmmaker and ACS accredited cinematographer. For over a decade his diverse skill set and passion for telling stories about both the people and wildlife within the natural world, has taken him around the globe to remote locations working with teams of all sizes.
Working as the director of photography at Sydney-based production house Untitled Film Works, Dom has worked as a lead DP and Producer across multiple award winning series such as Tales by Light [Netflix] and Big Cat Tales [Discovery]. In recent years, Dom has worked as a sequence DP across multiple blue chip natural history series such as Netflix’s Our Living World and in production series Our Oceans [2024] and Our Water World [2025].
In 2021 Dom’s work was recognised to the highest level by the Australian Cinematographers Society, leading to him becoming an accredited member (ACS).
